Registration Info

Registration Information for 2012

In-person registration was held on Sat Feb 4 and Sat Feb 11 at the Grimsby Seniors Centre from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. both days. We accept cash or cheque for registration.

Registration officially opens on January 1 through to April 1 or until the age divisions are at full capacity. If you can't attend in person on registration day, you may print the Registration Form (both sides) and mail it with your payment to the address listed on the form.

Cheques may be post-dated for no later than February 29, 2012.

Family Discount

We offer a multiple registrant discount for families as follows:

$20 discount off the total registration fees for the 3rd child and for each additional child in the family registering.

For example $20 off the total fees for families with 3 children registering, $40 off the total fees with a 4th child registering and so on...

Registration Refund Policy

Refunds for registration fees will only be made as follows:

If requested prior to May 1, for any reason, full refund less $25 administration fee
No refunds after May 1

Division Registration

A player may play up a division but may not play down a division. Divisions are subject to registration numbers. GABA reserves the right to reorganize divisions and age groups. A photocopy of the players birth certificate must be presented (for new registrations only). Registration is by date of birth (age as of January 1 of the current season). Registration fees must be paid in full before participation.

Coaches, Assistant Coaches & Managers will be subject to Vulnerable Sector Screening.

GABA guarantees
   •   parents selected to coach will coach his/her child’s team, if requested
   •   siblings will play on the same team, if requested

Due to the sheer volume of requests and to maintain fair team lineups, GABA does not guarantee any other special requests but will consider special requests if possible.

Teams will be arranged based on the following criteria:
   1.   Age
   2.   Gender
   3.   Experience
   4.   Any other special requests

While team balancing will take priority, GABA will attempt to honour one "play with" request, provided both players, indicate a mutual two-way request. (i.e. both players must put down the other players name or the request will not be considered.)

Specific game nights for divisions are not guaranteed. GABA strongly encourages coaches to hold practices. Practice times are at the discretion of the coach.
